I was thinking of the number of ways you would “WIN” at college if you ate this Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal before heading out in the morning to your first class.

I came up with FIVE.

As you cook this in the microwave, notice the smell of cinnamon wafting through the air. That alone has a way of waking the senses! Still feeling groggy? Be patient. I recently read raisins are like a natural energy gel so give the raisins in this oatmeal a few minutes to kick in and give you body a shot of energy.

Stomach grumbles are so embarrassing. Especially the ones that sound like you’re passing gas. Well you won’t have to worry about those during first class because the fiber in the oatmeal will keep your stomach quiet by making it think it’s full.

I’m going on the assumption that if your focus isn’t consumed on whether others can hear the strange sounds coming from your stomach (they can), then there’s more chance you’ll listen to what’s being taught in the lecture.

Eat a sugar-laden breakfast (or no breakfast) and be prepared for an energy crash. When energy levels spiral downward it’s easy to make poor food choices. That’s when the extra pounds add up. Quick Oats are a medium glycemic index food and won’t cause your blood sugar level to spike. It’s more of a sustained release of energy so you don’t experience the crash.

More oatmeal equals moe money in your pocket! It’s inexpensive and a high-fiber food that takes longer to digest, making you feel full longer on fewer calories. Of course that means less urge to spend cash on morning snacks. Cha-Ching!

So many wins from one bowl of oatmeal and I’m sure there are more. Have one? Please share in the comments below.
