Chimichurri’s a bold, herby sauce from Latin America, usually paired with grilled meat—but it’s got way more potential.
You ever get bored of the usual toppings for your summer beef, chicken or vegetable burger?
Here’s a culinary curveball topping you might not have tried: Chimichurri Sauce.
It’s quick to blend, punchy, and turns even the messiest sandwich (like a Sloppy Joe) into something kind of herblicious!
Plus, if you’ve got access to fresh herbs (say, your parents’ garden), the ingredients are practically free. Recipe below. 👇

QUICK BLEND CHIMICHURRI
🎥See It Being Made: S2 | EP34: Should I Cook It Or Just Order In?
Makes: About 1 Cup | Prep Time: About 5 Minutes | Total Time: About 5 minutes
6-ISH INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup flat-leaf parsley (not the curly kind—trust me)
- 2 tablespoons cilantro (just enough to flirt, not dominate)
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano (optional, but great)
- 1½ tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
- A pinch (or two) of red pepper flakes
- 1 garlic clove, sliced
- Pinch of salt
HOW TO MAKE
- Blend it all together. That’s it!
🥣Spoon it Over: tacos, grilled burgers, hot dogs—or, if you’re feeling adventurous, a Sloppy Joe. It’s a flavor bomb that makes the usual summer eats taste like your backpacking in South America!
🌟Quick Tip: Freeze extra chimichurri in an ice cube tray. Instant upgrade for whatever’s on your plate.
