One of my favorite things about August is stopping at a roadside farmer’s market to buy cobs of locally grown corn! To cook it perfectly every time, I use the microwave.
The first time I nuked an ear of corn in the microwave I was AMAZED by how well it steamed the sweet kernels. No waiting for water to boil, and once cooked, the husk and silk slip off with ease!
It’s perfect for when you just want to cook an ear or two for dinner.
How to Cook Corn on the Cob in the Microwave
Leave the corn in its husk and microwave on HIGH for four minutes.
Let the corn slightly cool and then slip off the husk and silk. Husking corn is easier after it cooks in the microwave!
Slather on the butter and enjoy!
